Totally. Leonard will be on top of Penny after he hears that, asking her at least every ten minutes if she really does think about leaving him like the insecure brat that he is. She'll most likely be bringing out the whine bottles just to shut him up and have herself get lost in the booze as a stress reliever. And that was yet another moment where she took Amy's side.
But whether Amy was warned or not I'm pretty sure she still would've thought of a way to influence Sheldon on how he'd 'regret' leaving her. I mean after all she is 'the best girlfriend he's ever going to get'. That had to be one of the most harshest things she's ever said to him, should've been a red flag moment for Sheldon but sadly his brain and confidence is in a coma.
Penny giving her a heads up kind've reminded me of the first episode in season 6 when he pleaded for Penny to not hurt his 'friend' once he heard the news of her thinking about splitting with Leonard and I think because of Sheldon's favor in mind it persuaded her to not have the balls to do it especially once she saw Leonard give her the puppy dog stare, then it all went downhill from there. Sorry but I was pretty pissed at Sheldon for intervening on her own free will like that and those two should already know that there's just NO nice way of breaking up with Leonard no matter how politely you do it. And is the exact reason why those two will NEVER work out as 'just friends' because Leonard will always see her as a piece of ass rather than someone he could be himself around.

Freudian slip, there? And frankly, if he was himself around me, I'd mace the little creep in the face. He isn't a particularly interesting individual, anyway, before you get to the mommy issues, the needy insecurity and the total lack of anything resembling professional ethics.

I m with you on that, i don't think a heads up woulda changed much in AFF decision to use the reverse psychology to get sheldon to not break up with her. (can I just state that it is in NO way proof that she is smarter than sheldon, it bugs the hell out of me that this was getting spewed on Facebook) AFF reaction might have been different but i think the result would have been the same. I assume tptb wanted the manipulation and parroting to be the main punchline so we would have had to still deal with it.
I can say that the title of this episode is fitting. if there wasn't a huge difference of opinions with the characters before the damn table, I bet there is one now.
As for everyone else...howardette/raj who? If this is an attempt at a story arc for the couple, throwing it in this episode whilst the Lenny and Shamy crap is distracting everything, was a bad idea.
Can we get back to the original show without every episode becoming a relationship dilemma? There are other comedic devices

For real man. And all because he wanted to keep things 'homeostasis' and not see his friend get hurt. Are you fucking kidding me? First of all that's HIS problem not Penny's and she shouldn't have to be responsible for Leonard's feelings, he's a big boy and should start acting like one for once. And secondly to HELL with homeostasis! If Sheldon got a real good analysis of his life right now and how it contrasts from where he was ten or twelve years ago he'll see that his life has been nothing BUT change.

TPTB always have Penny siding with Amy over Sheldon. Even though Amy is not particularly close to Penny and we're always told by the Shamys and a certain show runner always says Penny and Sheldon do care and love each other but only as brother and sister.
Yet they write Penny as always siding with stupid, creepy Amy. What good sister would do that to their brother, right?
And yes good point, what "brother" would keep talking about their sister's fancy genitals.
