SPOILER WARNING: What fresh hell is this? - S10

I like you looking on the brighter side of things Nutz (unless that was sarcasm...) but you never know what the academy likes... They clearly did NOT like Shamy coitus.... Nope.

Its odd because there was no mention of The Flash in the taping report for 10.03. Yet Mayim posted on twitter "Brandon Jones, we had fun having you guest star this week!" This suggests he was in the weeks, or maybe at the table read for another episode. Any ideas?

It's part of the TR in 10.3. You probably missed it because it's a damn waste of a Super (although, it's better then using him to push Sheldon into sex)

He later falls asleep at a vending machine and the Flash comes to him in a dream and persuaded him to take an energy drink! Sheldon is reluctant but because 'all the super heroes drink it', he is persuaded

It's a rehash of Sheldon and coffee from 'Work Song Nanocluster' - the Flash, 'addictive' substances, Sheldon being manic. Another attempt to appropriate and recycle early successes for the new regime.

And of course it won't be funny, just like the other rehashes.

The only thing I'm taking away from these last couple of episodes filmed are that they actually have Jim/Sheldon doing something else aside from talking about Amy/being next to Amy/being told to sit on his phone and not talk etc etc... These scenes might be funny... It really depends on how Jim plays them and how the scenes are done (hell him crying and being upset might actually be sad if they don't make a joke out of it.) I mean yes it's all very blah... But at least we're getting something away from him and Amy. I prefer this over that other crap.

And I realize that it won't last and we'll have 24 more episodes left over for tptb to insert some Shamy crap. I've just kinda liked not seeing it... Reading it. The parts that bother me the most in this episode are the Amy/Penny scenes bc we still have this "keep the boys and girls separated" crap going on and also the whole plot of Amy being more popular... But that also isn't really a stretch bc the folks at Caltech don't like Sheldon and never really have (which that itself is an issue and I've always hated them for it.) but Sheldon doesn't care if they don't like him. Also it's clear that that scene is more of that guy hitting on Amy, it would be different and more offensive if it was a party that Sheldon and Amy went to and people were ignoring him in favor of her... This isn't the case.

(Also it's like the writers know Lenny is stupid and fucked up but they're stuck now so they just keep tossing little hints of how messed up Lenny is but there too afraid to do anything about it... Same with Shamy... They're stuck... They don't have to be... But they're too lazy to do anything.)

I guess after some thought... I'm not that upset about the episode... It's not the best no. But it's also not the worst they can do (last season got pretty damn bad.) but idk. I think I'm just accepting so much and not expecting a lot so I kinda just shrug.

Short of making shenny happen... This show honestly can't shock me with ANYTHING it does anymore...

Oh yeah, Worksong Redux, but with all the Penny Blossoms, sea shanties, charm, and overall surreal nuttiness siphoned right out of it. I don't look for there to be any exchanges like this...

Sheldon: Penny, I'm a physicist. I have a working knowledge of the entire universe and everything it contains.
Penny: Who's Radiohead?
Sheldon: <massive eye twitching>

The brilliant Captain Supercilious no longer exists, alas. In his stead is a bumbling mediocre scientist wah-ing that he can't do the math. How the mighty have been humbled.

And Penny's not even around because she's off escorting the cool chick to Sadsackville, the creepy place where The Unattached are condemned to spend their days ruminating about what losers they are.

So...instead of Penny Blossoms we have a, what is it, a guidance doohickey? Sorry, haven't been paying attention. And instead of The Fifth Annual East Rutherford, New Jersey Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Alliance Luau we have sinister military/government honchos.

And the coffee bit has become grotesquely bloated so that the audience can be hit over the head with the joke. "See, Sheldon avoids stimulants because he's worried about becoming addicted." Yes, thank you, I got it the first time.

I don't know, it all sounds grim and depressing, although I'm sure the audience as usual will be appreciatively hooting all the way. Sigh.
OH PLEASE...
