Yeah.
They've straightened up Amy as well, she has nicer glasses, they put her in better colours most of the time and she has hair extensions. So I guess they are doing the same for Leonard. Giving him a less nerdy wardrobe.
Sheldon rarely wears his fabulous plaid suit these days - a tragic loss in my opinion.

That plaid suit was straight out of the heyday of screwball comedy. Gary Cooper or James Stewart.

Well it makes sense, Leonard and Amy will look more and more "put together" while Sheldon and Penny will start looking worse and worse. (Can't have the losers looking better then the "leads")
