7.14 The Convention Conundrum

I know it's a sitcom and can never be 100% realistic but some kind of indicator that Sheldon had to steely himself to eat from the same plate as JEJ's would have gone a long way to ease through these changes. A little pause or something. Just having Sheldon draw a big breath before he did it, would be all it would have taken. It's the little details they are not taking care of. It's their character so they can change him as they wish but show us, don't tell us.

Yes, some sort of twitching or reluctance. He could have just taken the first bite and then sat there with the spoon after, he was talking so much it wouldn't be weird. But you've got that lot over at organgeland who go to extraordinary lengths to rationalize things that are OOC and what I think is increasingly a casual audience that treats TBBT as background programming.
Oh wow, oh wow, what an adventure.

Or so loved up over a certain actor/actress they forgive anything? But you sre probably right, they might not be as obsessive ... um I mean, dedicated as us Wink

True. I think its a way to justify all the OOC that's coming up. The argument will be, 'if he can share food, why wouldn't he be able to initiate kissing?' Dodgy

Exactly. I resent that they've just put forward this huge character change seemingly out of the blue.

Yes, where's the raised-eyebrow glare? Jim, separate yourself from your character!

Oh soooo true! Where's the quizzical eyebrow, the analytical retorts. BRING IT BACK writers it's not too late. There's three seasons to go.

THEY ARE SERIOUSLY DOING 3 MORE SEASONS? Look what they did to me. 3 more seasons of a show I used to like and I'm not happy. Confused
