Wouldn't be surprised, we actually talked about them using the Penny is still married to Zack card to create fake drama after Lenny got married in such a stupid way. That way Lenny is broken up (for a couple of episodes) and they can give the Lenny's the wedding they were demanding.

In my wildest dreams it will make Penny realize that marrying Leonard is a mistake and this is just another sign of that.

YES! I have that feeling, as well. It was my prediction at the beginning of the season. Only I thought it was probably Penny who forgot to take in the papers. I mean, when the show gave them such a lackluster wedding, and it let down so many pro-Lenny fans..I just had this feeling that it wasn't going to be legit. Like, there would be two more seasons, and they just can't wrap up Leonard and Penny like a bow so soon. So yeah, my bet is the cliffhanger is going to be Zack showing up with the news they're not annulled. God, that would be great. And maybe one or both of them will kind of be relieved. As I've noticed that Leonard is increasingly being let down by Penny's carelessness about him compared to the bonds he sees with the other couples. So maybe that's why his dad will be in it. Maybe his dad will just appear over the phone, as Leonard may want to come out to the east coast to visit him/get his head together. We'll see!
And also..now that I think of it..I always did have this weird feeling about her marriage to Zack. Like, it was created just to throw a wrench in the works down the line. The show seems to do that now and then. 'Cos why would they write in a marriage for Penny and Zack that would only have an effect on one episode? That just seems like a waste of time. But again, we'll see!
And BONUS: We get to see Zack again!!

Right! I think we're on the right track, at any rate. And Sheldon didn't get engaged yet, so.. You know, with the upcoming episode where Shenny goes to watch GoT together, leaving Amy and Leonard upset and YET AGAIN brooding about Sheldon and Penny's special bond.. Just have a feeling this is going to blow up somehow. Cross your fingers!
