Quote:I neither like nor dislike "Friends", much, but it definitely has a secure place in TV history and in people's memories. So does Seinfeld. BBT is going to be a second-tier sitcom like "That 70s Show" or something.
You are so right about this. Although, I think it's going to fade even lower than "That 70s Show" eventually. The merchandise will still be around in obscure places, but people will probably start to wonder where those things come from, having never heard of TBBT in the first place. Like, there's t-shirts that have the 'evolution of man' on them that eventually go to robot, I believe. People will probably buy the t-shirts because they're neat, but will never get that they are meant to be references to "The Big Bang Theory". They'll be oblivious. Which is sad, but that's the fault of the creators for letting the series slide into obscurity and repetition.
Quote:...if people would open their eyes, they'd see that BBT has been running on autopilot for at least the past four or five years.
^ Completely defines the series at the moment.
It really does make us wonder why the cast endure how their characters have changed into caricatures of their former selves. Surely an actor's integrity wouldn't allow them to keep up this farce? Especially JP.
