SHAMY WARNING: 10.23 The Gyroscopic Collapse
#1
"After Leonard, Sheldon and Wolowitz celebrate the completion of the top secret air force project, they are met with an unpleasant surprise. Also, Amy is offered a summer position as a visiting researcher."

There are pictures here, mostly about Shamy; http://www.spoilertv.com/2017/04/the-big...-1023.html

It would be sweet if Penny would be there for Sheldon, like he was for her when Leonard was away.

"Before she left, Amy made me promise that I'd take care of you." or "I know how it fells, Sheldon. I promise i'll take care of you until she comes back."

They have a few drinks, they kiss, one thing leads to another, they wake up in bed the next day,... That's how you make a nuclear cliffhanger.

Cheating leaves a sour taste, though. It's in character for Leonard to stray, and AFF, too, but this latest move of Sheldon's reads like hysterical desperation in the face of enforced social conditioning. I'd believe in him flying to find AFF and her having a man in her apartment, frankly, given the fawning adoration in show for her.

Have they ever canonically established when Penny's birthday is? Because Sheldon has now been trained by Amy to celebrate birthdays with coitus.
"Penny, we must have done it wrong because I enjoyed that very much. I never enjoy it with Amy yet she claims we are doing it exactly right."

Yes, that would be really sweet, but that will not happen, because-how we all know-Amy always was jealous of the relationship which Penny and Sheldon shared. Tongue
If there is something Amy never would do, than to ask Penny to take care of him.

But.....if there is a possibillity in this way, than that Penny perhaps might start by herself to take care of him. That would be even sweeter. Soft Kitty

By the way, at this promo-kiss-picture, Puke  I find Sheldon seems lifeless. It looks like that Amy is kissing a puppet which she must hold on its shoulders because someone has cut the wires. It is not romantic or passionate but only lousy.

(Almost every image with this two is-for me- somehow an anti-promotion for 'Shamy').

You mean like this...?

There's something of the stranglehold in Amy's kiss which reminds me of Leonard. I know not all Shamy kisses are quite so uncomfortable there are nicer ones than this but Shamy kisses like this always seem like .... your gay cousin trying to pretend he's straight. Do you know what I mean? Its like Sheldons true nature whether asexual, gay, pansexual, demisexual or other is being told it must be something its not.

Based on his original characterization (for 4 years) I always assumed Sheldon would be passionate about such things, if they ever dragged him into romance at all (which I'd hoped they wouldn't). The fucker's incapable of ambivalence.
But in 5 years of Sheldon/Amy, all I've seen is ambivalence...It's wrong for his character. But then, his character's been altered drastically, so...

Totally agree.

Sheldon and Amy have coitus in this episode and Penny, Leonard and Raj overhear them. It's supposed to be funny as they are saying kooky things like ...

"Oh Amy you naughty vixen" - so camp you cringe.
"My goodness that form of stimulation is highly efficient."
"Whoppee"

It doesn't quite work and is not as funny as the writers thought it might be. It's a little sad that even now if feels like Sheldon is offering himself to Amy because he's insecure about her craving "a hit of this" while she's away. It's as though he's doing it to prevent her cheating which I can't see her doing anyway.

The missing Gyroscope is a relief. The story was getting dull and they spiced it up with a disappearance. I don't enjoy Sheldon being so dependant on Amy even though she's no where near as creepy as she used to be. I still prefer the old Sheldon who needed no one. he was a much more interesting character.

Leonard decides not to go to Comic Com saying he'd been for the last nine years but I'm fairly sure he didn't go two years ago when the tickets were sold out 7.16 The Convention Conundrum.

Funny, that the writers are still telling aus that BS of Sheldon being incapable of living on his own and being independent. Let's see ... what was Sheldon doing after he got his job at university? Right he lived ALONE in his apartment. Then Leonard came along... and what did he do? Right, he drove Sheldon to his work because it is/was convenient. It's beyond me how anyone can actually think that Sheldon can't take care of himself. He is very self-sufficient!

And regarding the "danger" of Amy cheating on Sheldon: well let me tell it this way: in real life there's not a single guy on this planet - no matter how needy he is - who would date Amy. If I would be stuck with Amy on a desert-island I would jump into the water and wait for the sharks to kill me.

Old Sheldon had servants. Minions. Underlings. Wretched humanity. Now he has carers.
