"Howard and Leonard try to make their invention even smaller without Sheldon who's busy trying to assemble a working train set. Raj and Stuart look after Halley while the girls take Bernadette out."

Ah, of course. Sheldon, once called "one of the great minds of the 21st century", plays with trains and acts like a child, whereas his friends make great contributions to science. Hmm, where have I heard that before? Right, Sheldon has been degraded since season 5. Howard already went to space, now watch Leonard getting the Nobel Prize. After all, he deserved it, right? And Sheldon? Well he's got Amy, so everything is good. Forget physics, why even bother ...

For the main plot, I have to quote Raj from earlier seasons:

"For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.  Leonard pretends to be a friend and acts like a two-faced bitch, therefore he is reborn as a banana slug.  It’s actually a very elegant system.  You know, what goes around comes around."

Leonard spent 4000 $ on that train ticket "present". Which was really planned to make Sheldon go away. Sheldon was really happy about it, because he didn't saw the true intent behind it. It wasn't given to him, because Leonard likes him. It was just a tool for Leonard to get rid of Sheldon for a few days. He didn't care for Sheldon the next second.

This same guy had the nerves to bitch about how Penny spends her money?? Who later comes crawling back to Sheldon, because he doesn't know how to solve a problem and wants to trick Sheldon into resolving it for him. AND gets angry at Sheldon, because he doesn't want to help him further. Sheldon should shove that marker so far up his ass to require a general surgeon.

That Leonard is a sleazebag doesn't surprise me anymore to be honest ... over the years he has deceived Sheldon so many times (starting with the Arctic expedition if not earlier) that I lost count. Once again, I've watched an old episode from season 2 before this episode. And oh boy, Sheldon seems so OFF. I mean his body is pretty much the same, but his spirit, his mind ... it's like someone else has taken over. And Leonard of all people has to tell Sheldon not to give up on physics! Ha!

And regarding the B-Plot: well nothing really new here. I fell asleep for a minute there but as far as I can tell Penny wants a baby and Amy a proposal from Sheldon. So many surprises right there, I wonder how can anyone not see the brilliance?

Penny wants a baby? Oh yeah, that's great--her marriage is a boring kind of love with bickering and her questioning things every second episode. So of course a baby is gonna fix that. I guess we can chalk this up to another life lesson courtesy of Molaro.

Short, Lactose/corn intolerant children born to a depressed alcoholic mother. What a great idea  Confused

She didn't say she wants a baby. It was more in a way of questioning her life choices, leading her into this stagnant, loveless relationship, while Bernie and Howard are moving forward in life.

She's miserable, I wish the scene would go further. It's a perfect setup for another Lenny-wrecking ep fix. Penny was this close to tears and admitting she doesn't love Leonard anymore. She never actually did and this whole thing was a mistake and a waste of time.
"There was a guy I liked, and I never told him how I felt. Eventually, he started going out with someone else, and I always regretted it."
Funny how these things come back after 5 years to haunt her...

It would be interesting to make an OC--have him be the guy she liked, and when he moved on, she settled for Leonard.

We all know "the guy" was Sheldon... no need for an OC.

As Molaro isn't going there--we need an OC. I vote for Dexter. He's no where near as creepy as Leonard. Maybe Dexter will see Leonard's tendencies as pre-serial killer and take him out. ...As a plus, he might have a problem with Amy, too.
