^Was researching Tupac. This is the problem; humans idealize. Tupac is a complicated person. So are characters. But if we idealize them, we filter out what doesn't fit, we are no longer seeing the character as conceived by the writer. We have taken the character off at a subjective tangent. It's duality. Also I think people who are nerdy/geeky were outsiders, before the likes of these guys. But TBBT has cemented the stereotype of 'nerd' fully into popular culture. In fact the drummed it home with endless references. Although I despise alot of the cliches, it seems like a good base camp, just need to expand the identity, and ditch the stereotypes.
