Rather Odd &/Or Beautiful Things

Yeah, I know that site. I found it through a link about 'nice guy' behaviour. Reading the real situations and the toll they take just underlines exactly how unacceptable the show's portrayal and complicit acceptance is.

Uh, okay. I told Gripe I was going to introduce him to my former associate (here in MILWaukee, USA, we call it the x-spouse) I suppose he and I feel former associate is much more genteel. He, being, the former associate. Or, as he might more prefer, the Skrauss.

The introduction will be made now, through video imagery. As the Skrauss is an artist, and I had a feeling he/his work might be of interest/appreciation here.

I think this really speaks to the difference between Canon/TPTB's definition of happiness, versus the way Nostalgics perceived the characters and their lives and their world, early on. I think it's also just a great and encouraging message for life.

FRACTALS!!

Created with an app on my iPad. I don't begin to understand the mathematics or how any of this works. There are Mandelbrot and Julia sets; the real fun comes with two slider bars that allow you to change the real and the imaginary constants. You can also play around with the colors and zoom deeper into the fractals. A lot of the time there's just an amorphous black blob on the screen, but as you work the sliders things begin to take shape.

I forsee myself saving far too many of these.  Tongue
