When they had joked about Sheldon being one lab accident away from being a super villain, it had always been just that, a joke.

But...

One of Bernadette's lab minions ("They're called interns!") had tripped into Sheldon with a suspicious beaker, and he'd come flailing into the lab to complain to Leonard (and escape Amy's fixed intent to drag him into the decontamination showers) whilst Leonard was setting up a complicated laser array, and then Amy had marched in after him, waving a loofah, and there had been grabbing and yelling and...well, vita rays and strange serums sometimes resulted in super soldiers. This time, not so much.

It looked like Amy was going to get her wish for coitus fulfilled, but there was a better than average chance that she was going to have her head bitten off afterwards.

She wasn't entirely sure it would be worth it.
