Still 'bargaining'. This scene surprised me; 'Amy: Can I confess something? Once in a while, I get a little jealous of how close Penny and Sheldon are.
Leonard: Really?
Amy: I mean, not in a romantic way. It’s just, she really has some sort of connection with him.'(s7e21). I think that's true, a man and a woman who are friends, are closer than romantic couples can be. They can talk about things they couldn't with partner, ask personal advice, and support each other. Also romantic couples enter a whole minefield which is culturally specific, and even dependant upon what they witnessed of their parents relationships.
