Season 8 - promises and threats *SPOILERS*

I thought we could use this thread for new season news...

As we all know the writers don't have a plan until very close to the beginning of each episode but here we have Morelo delivering the stomach churning news of more marriage proposals in Season 8.

Nice typo where they call Penny - Peggy Big Grin but if this is foreshadowing Sheldon asking the manipulative wench to marry him, they can stick S8 where the sun don't shine. I'll be staying put in VINTAGE BB thank you very much...Cool

So I did a little internet research. Molaro's comments are from this article in The Hollywood Reporter, which was posted on April 23rd, before the Lenny engagement, before the finale.

We should still be concerned but he was referring to Lenny, not Shamy.

And as far as I know, the big three have yet to sign for seasons 8-10.

So this could be misleading... it did sound spookily similar to what he's been saying anyway.

If he was actually saying this now I'd be more concerned. Placed in context it matches what he was saying in the leadup to the finale.

Another article about next season. Dev - the contracts do seem to be unsigned STILL!

"CBS has signed Big Bang Theory on for three more seasons. They are planning to “move forward assuming everyone is going to be there,” Molaro said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “I have no reason to think they won’t be.” But the future of each of the characters is still anybody’s guess."

Do we think the future of these characters is "anybody's guess"? Rolleyes Predictable is my guess...

Right now, all the news reports seem to feeding off the same Hollywood Reporter interview.

"As to his snail-paced romance with Amy, he muses, “I don’t know that we’re headed for the bedroom or the altar any time soon. But, whatever. The writers have been so good with the pace of it, just bring more is all I would say.”

He knows. We ALL know. Christ, it's like an Adam Sandler movie. WE ALL KNOW WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN!!Puke

Won't be watching.

Reviewers are using that same interview over and over, to spin their own ideas, this one suggesting that it is "still unclear whether Sheldon actually got on the train" They even repeated the mistake of calling Penny - Peggy Big Grin

I wonder how ridiculous they will get over the coming weeks. None of these things are likely to happen if the press are saying they will.

Especially if all the speculation is based on one badly written article from two months ago.
