Season 8 - promises and threats *SPOILERS*

I'm looking forward to a successful and confident Penny showing a failing Leonard the same kind of support he showed her when he doesn't get tenure. Perhaps she'll encourage him to get a job at The Cheesecake Factory. Or teach Physics for Dummys.

I wouldn't mind seeing her in being confident in a suit again. Sheldon isn't the only one that looks good in a suit...

More tension coming between Leonard and Penny next season, when she FINALLY gets her self esteem back. Leonard won't handle this well because it threatens his tenuous grasp. I hope they split them up and give Leonard someone who is on the same level. He and Penny have never fitted. I know that's supposed to be the story but it sucks because Sheldon and Penny are a million times more intriguing.

Also, the 'did Sheldon get on the train?' argument is still floating around. I think he did because the final scene of that episode had him speaking to Amy on the phone and there was no indication that he hadn't left. It doesn't make a lot of sense if didn't tell her. Especially if he didn't leave because of her.

This one has a poll "Should Penny quit acting?"

I voted 'No' because I don't think giving up on all your dreams is the only way to be happy. I'm pleased they are not still sending out the message that Penny's only future is as the wife. The makers of the show don't understand that there are thousands of guys like Leonard out there. Guys who treat girls like Penny as status symbols. Leonard is nothing special, he's just like every other guy she's ever likely to met.

Yay for tension! Keep it coming. Let's hope everybody, even blind, stubborn Lenny shippers, start to see how unhealthy Lenny truly is.

Also, according to Ausiello, Sheldon DID get on the train: Spoilers

A little on S8 here from Lorre.

More forcing Sheldon into the arms of the most unappealing character on television and a new guest star, to be revealed.

It would not surprise me if TPTB use a guest star to cause trouble between Leonard and Penny. Maybe someone from Penny's job? TPTB would never use Sheldon to come between Leonard and Penny.

Not sure this is going to embed but this is the cast talking about what they have been up too, over the break. Oh, and Kaley's hair.

I particularly like how Kaley made this choice and the writers accepted it. Penny's new look is NOT a old bimbo look. Maybe Kaley (however subconsciously) wanted Penny to be taken more seriously.

I still think the Lenny needs to end for Penny to truly be taken seriously. Even a new job will do little if Penny is mainly seen as Leonard's girl.
