I have changed the settings so avatars display at up to 150px across and 200 deep.

Animated gifs can be up to 600kb's.

Hm. I've tried setting a gif avatar, but nope. Is it the same as a normal image, or is there more to it than that?

There may well be. I shell have to investigate the code a little deeper. Perhaps the gif you tried was too large?

I was thinking of checking the gifs on tumblr BEFORE I tackle this particularly ep. Not sure I want to see it but chat will be available.
