In late Season 4, Homo Novus spun a cocoon out of Flash comics and mint-in-package action figures, and emerged early Season 5, a boorish, twanging, goofy, redneck, homily-spouting, mean-spirited fool, who subsequently went through a two year spasm of betraying all his principles.
