Totally agree.
Sheldon and Amy have coitus in this episode and Penny, Leonard and Raj overhear them. It's supposed to be funny as they are saying kooky things like ...
"Oh Amy you naughty vixen" - so camp you cringe.
"My goodness that form of stimulation is highly efficient."
"Whoppee"
It doesn't quite work and is not as funny as the writers thought it might be. It's a little sad that even now if feels like Sheldon is offering himself to Amy because he's insecure about her craving "a hit of this" while she's away. It's as though he's doing it to prevent her cheating which I can't see her doing anyway.
The missing Gyroscope is a relief. The story was getting dull and they spiced it up with a disappearance. I don't enjoy Sheldon being so dependant on Amy even though she's no where near as creepy as she used to be. I still prefer the old Sheldon who needed no one. he was a much more interesting character.
Leonard decides not to go to Comic Com saying he'd been for the last nine years but I'm fairly sure he didn't go two years ago when the tickets were sold out 7.16 The Convention Conundrum.
