They have a few drinks, they kiss, one thing leads to another, they wake up in bed the next day,... That's how you make a nuclear cliffhanger.
If there is something Amy never would do, than to ask Penny to take care of him.
But.....if there is a possibillity in this way, than that Penny perhaps might start by herself to take care of him. That would be even sweeter.
By the way, at this promo-kiss-picture,
I find Sheldon seems lifeless. It looks like that Amy is kissing a puppet which she must hold on its shoulders because someone has cut the wires. It is not romantic or passionate but only lousy. (Almost every image with this two is-for me- somehow an anti-promotion for 'Shamy').
