As you can see except for 2 years (seasons 7 & 8) more non-canon fics were written every year. You can also clearly see when non-canon writers for each ship started to say "this show doesn't inspire me anymore". Heck, according to the data even a lot of the canon writers have abandoned writing fics for this show.

Please note that even though I will not be officially be collecting data, I will still be reading and adding non-canon fics to the collection threads.
