Sheldon as Demi-sexual?

I don't think Sheldon really connects with people. I think it possible that the large amount of mental energy we put into social life, and understanding, Sheldon is using to interpret some quantum universe. He's devoted himself to knowledge, an ascetic intellectual. He sees sex as a biological process, aimed at reproduction. Logic overrides emotions like love.
