Alas it's goofy doofus new Sheldon, who has none of the facial expressions, mannerisms, speech patterns and genius that characterized his original conception. Parsons (and Lorre and Prady) created a truly superb being with Vintage Sheldon, and TPTB made him scupper it in Season 5, because the character was self-sufficient and difficult, and they wanted to give him a toddleresque romance, so they lobotomised him to make it believable. And it still remains the most unrealistic thing on television.
