I imagine he has some overidding creative control clause. Some of the mud slinging is entertaining!
I still would like to think strength in number and Kaley and Jim teaming up could have done something. Maybe they could have brought on Kunal and Simon? Johnny would never go against his buddy Lorre and Johnny would never go against anything that would stop the Leonard character from making out with Penny.
