RE: What fresh hell is this? - S9 - Tuesday Pajamas - 09-20-2015

Moralo's interviews read like something a fan would come up with, rather than a showrunner from America's most popular sitcom. He's telling us what the characters feel, want and will ultimately get. It's very safe. I don't think this is going to keep regular viewers watching but what do I know, the ratings keep defying logic. People might want to see the boring wifey Penny and his squinty dull hubby. I think it will be the Sheldon and Amy story that will most interesting.

Of course Moralo will put them back together but this interview suggests Amy might date someone else for a while. Not that I care. Of course, Sheldon who is pretty hot by anyones standards and who grad students think is brilliant, won't be able to find a date for love nor money. Angry Although Moralo says this:

"Neither Sheldon nor Amy will play the field, but they're definitely thinking about the other fish in the sea. "It's all wide open for them to date someone else," Molaro says. "While painful and confusing for both of them, I think as far as people go, I think it's a great growth opportunity for both of them, which could ultimately be good for whatever their relationship ends up being, if they're back together or just friends.""

JUST FRIENDS PLEASE!!! Idea

I still want Shenny. Hiding Penny under the Leonard cloud is such a waste. The show IS over now they have married her off. Leonard is so borrrringggg. Galecki has no get up and go. Lenny is a flat line.

Molaro is a clown. It's not growth if Sheldon and Amy cannot move on to date other people. It's keeping these characters weak and in fear.  I think the only way Shamy remain just friends is if the ratings tank.

I found this article so enchanting to read I couldn't help but share it.

http://celebspot.net/the-big-bang-theory-season-9-glimpse-out-with-loads-of-surprise-elements/

My favourite line is "Whereas Leonard is seen sporting a dim colored husband clothes for a large day."

The beauty of that line is almost painful.

Points will be awarded to any HQer capable of explaining what the hell this means;

"Commenting on their unpretentious preference to uncover a twin removing hitched, uncover curtain Steve Molaro explains, “Its deteriorate 9 and Leonard has been posterior her given notation 3 of a series.”

I've always said so myself...

I personally like this part

With this new growth a sitcom will certainly have to give a suspicion about a staying issues signifying that Sheldon is inseparable from Leonard. It is also insincere that Sheldon (Jim Parsons), Howard (Simon Helberg), Bernadette (Melissa Rauch), Raj (Kunal Nayyar) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) are substantially examination a marriage rite live by satellite connection.

Just makes me giggle

Do those sentences make sense in context because they don't even look like english out of context.

Moralo reveals some more spoilers.

http://edition.cnn.com/2015/09/22/entertainment/big-bang-theory-thr-feat/

The last time Sheldon was in this kind of situation, he left town on a train. How bad will his freak-out be, comparatively speaking?

Molaro: "A freak-out is looming. There's a form of departure — though it's not physical. It's vaguely based in time travel. (Laughs.) I'll leave you with that!"

Hopefully time-travel in the sense that he goes back to embracing his singleness and individuality.

Sounds like another visit from Professor Proton.

I believe that Molaro is referring to 9.04. There's a report of the episode in the Time Machine forum, Monkey. Here, since I'm being Mr Helpful Pants - http://shennyhq.co.uk/dir/showthread.php?tid=387

Although I bloody wish it was Proton. I enjoyed that business immensely.

Kim, no of course Sheldon can't return to embrace his singleness and individuality. Being single and individual is WRONG now, remember...

The new eps no longer have the power to hurt me. I'm still going to avoid watching/hearing/reading about them, as much as possible, but I've adopted a new attitude, or at least tried to. If I hear "Howard did this and Howard did that and Howard's a terrible person and Howard's having triplets with what's-her-face"....well, that's not Howard.

That's not Howard, that's not Sheldon, and that's not whoever. These are the same actors playing different characters. That's not just wishful thinking on my part; IMO it's literally, demonstrably, factually true. This is not the same show, and I don't mean that in a figurative sense, I mean it literally.  This is not the same show, just as surely as Cheers and Frasier were two separate shows that shared a few elements in common. These characters have nothing more to do with Sheldon or Howard than Burton's Batman has to do with Adam West's Batman.

This is a reboot/remake/spin-off which the creators refuse to acknowledge as such, because they want name recognition. They've established a brand, and they want to continue capitalizing on that brand. That unaired pilot, the one with different characters and a drastically different Sheldon, and no H or R?  That was called "The Big Bang Theory", too.  It had the same name, but that doesn't make it canonical.  TPTB simply don't want to acknowledge that this is a different version of the same material or a different iteration of the same franchise.

That's not Howard, and that's not Sheldon. That's JP and SH in ill-fitting clothes and I see no reason to feel anything for them, including sadness, hope, pity, or even morbid interest. I have nothing more to say about the show itself, although I'm more than happy to keep chatting about fanfic and fun, tangential, fan-created stuff.  If anyone outside HQ tries to tell me "Character X did Y, last week", my response will be "That's irrelevant."  Because it is.

ETA: if the tone of this post sounds harsh, that's not directed at HQ members. I feel it's important to have dissenting opinions like this in a visible, public place where anyone can read them, especially since critical comments get scrubbed or banned from "official" venues.
