RE: Rather Odd &/Or Beautiful Things - SpaceAnJL - 04-10-2015 Well, that was sufficiently terrifying, thank you. I'm a big fan of that mad place in Czech Republic, Sedlec. Gave me some lovely ideas for a sci-fi fic. Scared the poor bloke I was co-writing with, though. It's in the University District. It's a very tiny shop, but special. These pics don't really show how cool it is. Obviously they have statuary, but also all kinds of things that are mystical, spooky, Celtic, Pagan, etc. Definitely worth a vist. The only thing I currently own from there is this glowy-eyed cat candle-holder: RE: Rather Odd &/Or Beautiful Things - SpaceAnJL - 05-03-2015 The gargoyle in a fez! I want it! A very small shop, like I said, but special. I forgot to post their website: https://www.gargoylestatuary.com/ ETA: these photos truly don't show how cool it is. When you go in there, it's dark, and there are dry dead leaves underfoot, and incense, etc. RE: Rather Odd &/Or Beautiful Things - ricardo shillyshally - 05-21-2015 RE: Rather Odd &/Or Beautiful Things - Idle Miscreant - 05-23-2015 RE: Rather Odd &/Or Beautiful Things - Toad - 06-05-2015 Paula Rosa is the artist.
