I'm like that with a lot of my fandoms. I love them because of the world building but every single one of them has a cut off.

Harry Potter was order of the phoenix
X-files was season 5
Buffy I white knuckled to the end but never really got into Angel.
STTNG season 6.
Sherlock...is on a deathwatch
Doctor Who ends with Tennet.
etc etc I continue to read fanfic from those fandoms and still continue to be a fan but I've check out of anything new. With TBBT I let it go to partly to s5. In fact when I signed up here I had already stopped watching new eps and was starting to go off syndicated eps. But I still really loved the world.

Okay so everyone is talking about how Sheldon who was previously named as a Taurus is now a Pisces. (Feb 26).

I found this description for a Pisces born on the exact day...

"Being a Pisces born on February 26th, your personality is defined by an intuitive, selfless and imaginative nature. You have the innate ability to sense the emotions of those around you. There have been numerous times that you simply "know" how someone is feeling, regardless if they attempt to hide their inner workings. You use your emotional understanding to be a supportive and compassionate friend. Your loved ones would be the first to admit your selfless nature, as there have been many times when you made sacrifices for their well being. In all matters of life you display an active and creative imagination, which you use to find the best in people and situations."

Big Grin HOKUM!

Promo for 8X15 chaps.

Those nostalgic for the laundry room might approve.

Laundry scenes looks amusing. Pantless-Sheldon joke no.7 I could do without. But it's slapstick, I suppose...

However, Sheldon could revert to Vintage Sheldon, (or even become a mad scientist and build an inter-dimensional transporter that takes him, Penny and Wil Wheaton away from this particular universe) start weaving ponchos, saying Bazinga, knocking thrice, and engaging in all his old, defining routines, particularly his life-long habit of, you know, putting the mysteries of the universe over his goddamn love-life, and I STILL can't believe it's Sheldon unless Jim resumes using his Sheldon voice.
Love Parsons dearly, but this non-Sheldonic voice breaks the suspension of disbelief.

And before anyone posts a gif of Blackadder saying he's "not having anyone staring in disbelief at MY willy suspension", let me assure you there aren't any.

I'm going to watch this one for the S/P scenes, and to scrutinise the new comic book shop. *puts on monocle*

There should be a gif of every single movement and sound Blackadder has ever made. Alas, if I could make gifs, I'd take care of it.It's just occurred to me that all of sheldon's weird shite he gets up to nowadays (Pants dropping, face pulling) would probably work if he still had the Sheldon voice. It's all about how it's done. Given the way Jim's acting lately, Nicolas Cage *puts hands together and gazes at sky* would make a brilliant replacement. A brilliant one.

My sister's just made me ill. I showed her the above comparison image, and she said she "liked it". She likes how the series has changed. She's one of them. *shudders*

What? Noooooo!!! Well, "you can choose your friends but you can't choose your family", as the saying goes Tongue

I think they look like they're at a post-funeral reception, in the 2nd pic.

If only I could... If only.

So, I might try to watch episode 16, when it airs over here. Unless you guys give me the skinny about it once you've watched it first.

I don't know what I'd say to someone who liked the change. If I wanted to see that sort of thing I'd be at home with family Undecided

I love the scene when they get their stereo turned on over the internet. It's epic! The silly dancing Big Grin that tune makes me feel like that. It's an amazing piece of music and 2001 was groundbreaking.
