We had a question sent in and I was wondering what you take on it is :

"hey guys, I was wondering if i could post a forum that question fellow fans if the stereotypes of characters (e.g nerdy/ introverts) has been kept on up till in the seasons or whether the stereotype of the 'nerd' has improved as the show has grown. thank you!"

I think its quite complex myself because in some ways the show is about loving these characters and this is why people tune in but... the over arcing theme seems to be one of mellowing out and marrying someone who isn't interested in the same things you are, so therefore nerds must eventually tire and abandon their hobbies. But we all know that real nerds don't tend to do that, relationship or no.

Non-Canon Summer Challenge # 1


In honor of our favorite arch-nemesis Wil Wheaton, and his request that his birthday on July 29th be known as "Don't be a dick day", we challenge you to create a BBT story where he breaks up couples, causes havoc, or just generally behaves like a dick.

Rules:
1. Any Romantic pairings must be non-canon by end of story (Sheldon/Penny, Leonard/Amy, Howard/Raj, Amy/Raj, Bernadette/Penny, Sheldon/Leonard, etc) Please remember to list the pairing in your story description.

2. Must be between 100 and 5,000 words

3. Must be only one chapter long

4. Must be posted to FanFiction or Ao3 by July 29th, 2017


There is no restriction on rating or type (platonic, romantic, smutty, Super Hero, supernatural, disaster, etc.)

Your challenge (if you choose to accept it) is to create a TBBT story about a summer adventure. Examples: Paintball, Kite flying, Mini Golf, Experiment of some type, Theme (or water) Park, Beach, Camping, Apocalypse training, Road trip

Rules:
1. Pairings must be non-canon (Sheldon/Penny, Leonard/Amy, Howard/Raj, Amy/Raj, Bernadette/Penny, Sheldon/Leonard, etc) Please remember to list the pairing in your story description. (Can go from canon to non-canon pairing during the story)

2. Must be posted to FanFiction or Ao3 by August 30th, 2017
