The wasted opportunity for a 'Spy vs Spy' type rivalry here... ludicrous prank schemes that backfire in one or the other's face. It would only work if there was an equality of success and failure, but if each of them considered themselves the nemesis, it could be hilarious.

Instead they've turned Wheaton into The Voice of Reason.
