So, no mention of any kind of kiss. And yet many are so worried about them promoting the heck out of it. Somehow I don't see that happening, as I would think they'd want to keep it a surprise up until the actual episode. Huh.
Have been kind of thinking about this Leonard dream, too. Wondering in what kind of context the kiss will appear. Had a funny thought. Imagine Leonard dreaming of waking up next to his new wife, with a small kiss of affection. Saying, "Good morning, Mrs. Hofstaedter", and her smiling " Good morning, Hubby." And then the camera pulls back, revealing Sheldon lying on her other side, and her turning to him, saying, "Good morning, Other Hubby!" And Sheldon smiling, "Good morning, Mrs. Cooper!" And then the big passionate kiss/make-out, with her leg slung over him and everything. Right next to Leonard, (heh heh) with him then waking up in a cold sweat! That'd be hilarious. I could see that scenario playing out a way like that, for the humor. Especially since I could imagine Leonard having that kind of nightmare, what with how much of a factor Sheldon makes himself in their lives/not wanting things to change/for Leonard to move out. So yeah, in a way, they are sort of a package deal. Like, Penny's gonna be married to both of them pretty much anyway..(is there a mash-up of all their names/being 'endgame'?) At least, that may be Leonard's fear as Sheldon's even planned to go on their honeymoon with them!
You know, maybe it's not a sleep dream, maybe it might be more of Leonard imagining it after Sheldon gives them the San Francisco tickets, with the third for him. I could picture Leonard then imagining what it would look like, Sheldon being with them on their honeymoon. That could put them all in bed together, for a morning kiss and stuff/a plausible cold-open gag (if they really want to downplay it as much as possible, which would be my guess--though I'm sure it would still be hot.) Seems BBT style, anyway.  Wink

Sheldon's unquestioning belief that he is part of whatever relationship he chooses, usually Leonard's, is one of the most reliably charming aspects of the show, in my opinion...

Even in Season 7, when the showrunners had (for mysterious reasons of their own) effectively abandoned a lot of Sheldon's original attributes, he still assumes he'll be living with Leonard and Penny after their marriage. I found that very 'in character'.

Suddenly deciding to propose to a person he's spent a lackluster 4 years in a relationship with, frequently sulking and carping, who insults his passions and wants to change him, and who he has expressly avoided living with, not so 'in character'. And conventional and passionless to boot. Winning combination there...

I'm still bizarrely holding out hope that old Sheldon will return. The whimsical, hellbent, self-sufficient alien, who learned the humans' protocols, but didn't give a damn what they thought of him.

Vintage Sheldon had SERVANTS. He was a mild tyrant over his land, and ruled with a haughty benevolence.
New Sheldon is "broken" and dependent on others. He is mentally incapacitated, apparently. He is a "sexy toddler".

The clever chaps who created Vintage Sheldon are still around and in charge (I think). They can bring their finest creation BACK. If they want to.

And I desperately hope they DO want to, one day, because currently the one thing Sheldon was NOT known for, ie, his romantic interests, indeed his lack of interest made him stand out in sitcomland,  is now the FOCUS of his personality and story arc.

Which is both baffling and depressing.

My mother won't watch the end of Rocky Horror because she loathes seeing Dr. Frank-N-Furter reduced from his superior splendour to crawling around pathetically after an artificially created love-interest.

I'm dubiously pleased (because it also pains me) to report that that's also her stated reason for not watching the later seasons of TBBT.

And she's a Leonard fan for heaven's sake! (though not an L/P fan by any stretch) If Leonard fans are upset at the destruction of Sheldon, god help the poor Sheldon fans!

AU SECOURS!

(gratuitous Tim Curry shot)
Oh no!!!! Fun with flags was awful with Amy. All those stupid costumes they wore. Shamys best scenes are stuff like the Herb Garden and Alien Parasite. Fun with flags is their WORST. It's so embarrassingly unfunny and a good example why these two just can't remain funny over the long-term, like Sheldon and Penny could.

Now we'll have Sheldon moaning about her not being there. How sad Sarcasm Come on writers GIVE US A BREAK from your relentless couple pushing! It's painful to think about what they are going to do to Sheldon before he is forced to take Amy back. Confused Puke

"Bernadette feels guilty about withholding a secret from Penny"

I hope, hope, HOPE(!).... it is NO pregnancy !!!
TPTB probably thinks the problem with Lenny last year was that Penny had a fulfilling (and profitable) career, so the secret probably is that Bernadette heard they were going to lay off (fire) Penny. That way they can get back to the "real" comedy of Penny trying to fit into the snobbish Alumni Wife's Club (with tea parties and book clubs) and all the "funny" misunderstandings that new Married couples go through like where do we live, does Sheldon sleep with us when he's scared, and the manipulation/browbeating to start popping out Lactose intolerant kids  Puke
There is another possibillity that frightened me. Namely that Berny could know about that Penny could cheat him too.
If the writers do THAT, than the character "Penny" (in regard to coherence and personality) is really dead!

There ye go lads. From the grumblebox. Wine

As Leonard is loitering in the background, I presume they're going with the three-way marriage angle.

Which makes sense...

I read in the Hollywood Reporter article that Penny won't be pursuing her acting career.

Boo, I say. A shower of Morlocks. Morlock
I'm thinking that Bernie knows about another girl Leonard kissed an never said anything.
