I agree that the Sheldon and Penny chemistry started with JP and Kaley. That's why I think the characters worked so well together. They appeared to be good friends back then and enjoyed being in scenes together and that transferred to the characters. It's seems natural and more plausible.

I believe Sheldon and Penny still have the potential to overtake this show.

There were also lots of times in early seasons, when Penny became Kaley for a brief moment. You could see an involuntary smile, or just amazement, when she was watching Jim act. I can't find an example! Just this sensual image! She obviously should have made a chocolate advert!

Just a gif! I was thinking, can we work out what works in sit coms? Do we need labels/genres?

So a large group of people who all interact with each other in a complex way, often with multiple possibilities.

Back to reality, this is one of my favourite scenes, Sheldon shows a little vulnerability. Penny helps him with intimacy issues.

It's strange, once I used to watch whole seasons out of sequence, now it's clips!
