I love how Kaley is so spontaneously affectionate with Jim. It's just part of who she is and I envy this about her. Not just those perfect abs, Kaley expresses herself easily. There was a post on tumblr responding to the Intimacy blooper, saying only Kaley can do this with Jim, in a way that isn't trying to sell the show. I have no doubt he adores all the cast but this poster said "Majim can't do that because they always look like they are selling Shamy" Her words not mine. I have no doubt all the friendships are genuine but I get her point.

Although if you think about it we have pictures of Jim and Kaley hanging out at non-work related events and having fun (Tennis matches, etc) as far as I know all the Jim and Mayim pictures are PR shots or at award shows.
Or very dubious photo manipulations.

On making out with Kaley Cuoco's Penny
: "It was really fun—and, very honestly, really easy. Very early on working on this show, I began working a lot with Kaley on a lot of different scenes because Penny and Sheldon had a lot of scenes together, and it was a very easy relationship to be a part of on-camera. Obviously, as different as she and I are—certainly as different as the characters are—that may not seem like the most logical thing to say, but as performers, she and I work very easily together. The first time we rehearsed [the kiss], it was literally just like an extension of the verbal dance we've been doing for eight and a half years. It's always awkward to a degree, but this was shockingly easy. We had so much fun. And it was so much fun to do it live in front of the audience. I kept thinking, 'When a moment like that is going on, they're going to know it's coming and start laughing before we do it.' You have one shot to do it right in front of an audience like that, and they didn't at all. It was dead silence, and the vibe in the room was, 'What is happening?!' It was exactly what it should have been and then BAM, we were making out!"

That business about the kiss being an "extension of the verbal dance we've been doing for eight and a half years." is precisely how I bloody saw it. The whole thing was played as a classic Sheldon/Penny sparring scene. Brilliant.
Wine Wine
Jim talks about the kiss as if its the cherry on his cake and he talks about the Shamy as if it's part of the job. Very enlighting indeed.

Yes, he said "it's always awkward, to a degree..but this (with Kaley) was shockingly easy." From what I gather, he means any kisses he's ever done have been awkward (and I have to take this to include these type of scenes with Mayim, which actually shows, I think). But with Kaley, it was easy. Well, then by all means, I think they should continue!  Wink

It just goes to me being frustrated with JP not using his star power. There should be some stroke that comes along with winning 4 Emmy's. That is not to say that JP should be fighting everything and making ridiculous demands. JP should certainly speak up about wanting more Shenny scenes because he sure seems to love them. Hard to picture Michael J. Fox and Ted Danson not speaking up if they wanted things done on Family Ties and Cheers. The big difference is they probably did not have to speak up much since TPTB of those shows knew what they were doing. Unlike the dopes from TPTB.
