I have a suspicion that the next time we see Kaley, she's wearing hair extensions.

Here is an article I found supposedly comparing Jennifer Aniston with Kaley. It really is comparing their characters more than the actresses.

It really seems more like a criticism of the writing of the character than anything else.

This is the most marked thing about this show. Contrary to what the Leonard/Penny fans say Penny has gone nowhere, neither personally nor as a character. I would say she has actually regressed since she started dating Leonard and become a meaner, less likeable character.
This is not down to Kaley who I think is just as good as Jennifer. Thanks for posting Gamma.
